Chicago Holistic is an alternative health clinic that incorporates multiple disciplines to aid the community in achieving the highest quality of life and health.

We are a small group of Holistic Practitioners who want to make a change in the health of our community but, through the constraint that comes with working in the spa and clinical systems we have set out to start our own practice that better helps our patients without those constraints.

Christopher Avila

Christopher Avila LMT, Dipl. DACM has extensive experience and training from his education in the Acupuncture program offered at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine one of the nations leading schools and courses as a massage therapist attained from Cortiva institute to assist patients in achieving their health goals in an integrative and holistic system. During his time in Massage school, he would assist at the children’s memorial hospital in Chicago in their outpatient clinic by helping the parents of Hospice patients by providing them with massage to help ease tension and muscular issues they may have. During his time at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, he Interned at Stroger hospital where he helped with pain management for underprivileged patients. He mentored under multiple mentors who lead in their field. Marie France, one of the leading acupuncturists in the Chicago Land area with over 40 years’ experience set him up to a higher standard. Dr. Frank Yuresek aided in gaining expertise in the management of pain from over 30 years as a Medical doctor integrating acupuncture in a hospital setting. Lastly, Dr. Edward Neil who has been in surgical settings for over 20 years and integrates acupuncture in a surgical setting. Christopher years he has refined his skills or over 10 years in bodywork by working at many different venues ranging from the typical massage spa setting to the high-end work in sports massage from working at multiple high-end gyms from the Fitness Formula Club and Equinox franchise however bodywork is not his core treatment skill. Through the integration of Acupuncture into my skill set I can treat a myriad of conditions ranging from acute presentations of flu-like symptoms to complicated immunodeficient conditions. With the proper integration of holistic treatments ranging from herbal concoctions, muscular manipulation, and application of proper needle technique he intends to help patients begin a life journey to better health and better quality of life.
